Cooking with Ben and Mandy

Benjamin and Mandy Brobst-Renaud came to visit this weekend before moving from Minnesota to Texas.  What the four of us like most to do together is to cook (whenever we are not admiring the dogs).

Our culinary adventures this weekend included:

  • Shwarma (Jerusalem, 211)
  • Sabih (Jerualem, 91)
  • Frittata with Morels and Ramps
  • Slow-cooked veal with Prunes and Leek (Jerusalem, 207)
  • RP’s Black Pepper Fussili with Morels and Ramps
  • Asparagus and Agretti (adapted from Ottolenghi, 34)
  • Lemon Curd
  • Steak with Chimichurri Sauce
  • Trout with Yogurt Horseradish Sauce
  • Poached baby vegetables with caper mayonnaise (Plenty, 12)
  • Manhattans
  • Shakshuka (Plenty, 87)
  • Brasied eggs with lamb, tahini & sumac (Jerusalem, 205)
